Make your play even more challenging and fun! Choose an alternative rule to play with during your game. “Spice it up!”

Any alternative rules should be agreed upon before the round begins. Here’s a few ideas for alternate rules.

Convert the Putt - to collect the Free Parking or CTP tag, player must convert the follow-up putt.

Closer Free Parking – Use “closest free parking throw” to award the tag, rather than the “most recent” throw.

Bigger Free Parking Space – Group could decide to make the qualifying distance to win this tag bigger/easier, i.e.: 20 feet, or inside Circle 1 (agree upon before the round)

Inside Circle 1 - CTP throw must land within Circle 1 (10m), to qualify as a CTP.

Mulligans - If allowed, will the mulligan over-ride a penalty tag, as well as the errant throw? Decide “Y or N” before the round.

Long Lumberjack – Penalty Tag awarded for hitting a tree within 50’ or 75’ or 100’ of the tee (group sets distance).

Mean Lumberjack - Penalty tag is awarded for hitting a tree within 40 feet from any shot (not just off the tee).

Sadistic Lumberjack - Penalty Tag is awarded for hitting any tree (no matter distance), for any shot.

Wagering - Feel free to wager a candy bar, or whatever you choose, however you choose. So many possibilities...

Double Your Pleasure - Play two 9-hole tags rounds. “Tags score” can be calculated after 9 holes, recorded, then reset the tags to play again for the back nine. Add both front 9 and back “Tags scores” together to determine the overall Tags winner and Tags loser for the round.

Wild Draw! - All players randomly draw a Penalty tag to start the game with!

Doubles - can be played with Tags by applying them to each players throw, before the choice is made as to which throw will be used (both players would have to attempt the putting stroke, to determine tag results).

Share the Joy – All players who “hit the tree at 40 ft” or “Miss the Putt” or “Go O.B./Miss a Mando” or get “Bogey Bubba” or “Land in the Water/Burn the Worm” or get “Ricochet Rabbit/Squirrel Boy” on a hole will share that tag, rather than assign it to the most recent throw during that hole. Applies to Penalty Tags (all except B.O.B.)
