Penalty Tag Rules!
Each penalty tag adds +1 to the final “Tags Score” at the conclusion of the round.
Brain Fart Tag
Awarded when a player misses their short putt (at the distance agreed upon before the round).
Lumberjack Tag
Player’s throw hits a tree trunk or big branch that's within 40' of the tee (Pace off the distance to confirm).
B.O.B. Tag
After completing the front 9, the player with the highest round score, so far, will be awarded the B.O.B. Tag (“Bottom of the Bunch”). That player will carry it until it is finally assigned upon completion of the round. At the conclusion of the full round, this tag will be transferred to the player with the highest round score. Tied players will share the penalty tag (and each will get the +1 to “tag score”). Who will be the next “BOB” (“Bottom-Of-the- Bunch”?
Big Bogey Bubba Tag
This tag awarded when a Player scores a bogey on the hole (+1 or +2 over par, or worse, as agreed before the round began). Player with the biggest bogey gets the tag (or the most recent bogey, if tied). Please play in order.
Double-sided tags* – Two different penalties share these tags. They transfer from player to player for either penalty, and only for which-ever penalty is the most recent player’s throw. Only one penalty point is awarded for holding one of these tags at the end of the round.
*O.B. OR Missed Mando Tag
- Player’s throw goes O. B. (Out of Bounds, as marked by local course) OR
- Player’s throw misses the “Mando” marker (Mandatory Direction signs, as marked by local course).
*Squirrel Boy OR Ricochet Rabbit Tag
- Your disc stays up in tree/bush (with the ‘squirrels’) OR
- Your disc hits 2 or more different trees on one throw (not branches of same tree). Must be the tree trunks or big limbs- little branches or leaves don't count.
*Fish Food OR Worm Burner Tag
- Disc lands in creek bed/stream/river/pond/lake/etc., where there’s water (even if not course-marked as a penalty area). Casual water excluded (rain-puddles) OR.
-Throw your drive into the ground within 40’ o tee. Don’t ‘Burn the worms!” Pace off distance to confirm 40’.
- Use local course hazard markings during play, such as “Out Of Bounds”, “Drop Zones” and “Mandatory” directional signs, etc...
